2025 we kicked off a crazy idea we had. We had so many friends in our roping community who had a terrible year. Some of them had been helped along the way but not all had been covered. We were lucky enough to be a part of many of the fundraisers, calcuttas, bbqs, ropings, silent auctions, live auctions etc and they make huge impacts for those in need.

But Danny and I also wanted to be on the hosting side of things… maybe something at our final event of the year… so Cowboys for a Cause was born.

Our intention, to help someone directly in our little roping world who could use it.

We reached out to Katie Whitney and Dustin Noblitt from Cactus Saddlery. We thought the easiest and fastest way was to raffle off tickets for a saddle. Man did they deliver! They donated a saddle for the cause and the tickets flew off the roll!

We also donated 10% of our Calcutta pot to the cause.

I’d say this kickoff year was a huge success and we can’t wait to watch it grow!

We hope to continue this part of our roping each year and our goal will always be to help someone directly who can feel the biggest impact! Our little roping world has a fierce impact when they join together!
