Collen Enk has been a part of our roping for the last 9 years but she has been a part of our lives since both of us were kids!

She has been the leading roping secretary in our area of Central Coast CA and is absolutely a local legend! She taught me (Elly) every. single. thing. I know about being a secretary. I first worked with her during Templeton Wednesday night jackpots probably 18 years ago. She is still teaching me to this day and I cherish each time I get to work with her.

She has also been dealing with Danny since he was on the cattle crew at the fair and poor thing is still trying to keep him in line!

Colleen is a very special friend to us and there isn’t anyone I know that cares more and has more integrity as a person than Colleen. I have worked with her in every situation and she treats every roping as if every dollar is her own and demands perfection. She will spend hours trying to balance a dollar after a roping. She is one of the hardest working people I have ever seen and out works anyone regardless of age. When she puts her mind to it, she is going to work the hardest to be the best at it! She is a gem we treasure and there isn’t anyone who is more inspiring. From her work ethic, to her wisdom, her horsemanship.. to her friendship, she sets the goal high in all areas!

When we started this new part of our Average Joe Finals, there was only ONE person who deserved to be our first honoree! Colleen Enk the one and only!
